2. What this policy covers

This policy covers visits to www.meridian-engagement.com and contact with me through it. It does not cover personal data processed during client engagements, such as exit interviews. Those are described in a separate privacy notice that participants receive before they take part.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Squarespace, Inc., 225 Varick Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10014, USA (Squarespace Ireland Ltd. for visitors in Europe). When you visit, Squarespace processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and time of access. This is necessary to deliver the site securely.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a secure and working website. Where data is transferred to the US, Squarespace relies on [the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses; confirm in Squarespace's current Data Processing Addendum]. I have [concluded / will conclude] a data processing agreement with Squarespace.

4. Cookies and analytics

Technically necessary cookies are set without consent (§ 25(2) TDDDG). For any analytics or marketing cookies, I ask for your consent through a cookie banner (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time through [the cookie settings link in the footer].

5. Contacting me

If you email me or request a call, I process your name, email address and message to respond. I delete these messages after [6–12] months unless they lead to a contract or I am legally required to keep them.

6. Booking a call

If you book a call through a scheduling tool, e.g. Calendly / Squarespace Scheduling, your name, email address and chosen time are processed by [provider, address].

7. Newsletter and free resources

If you sign up for my newsletter or download a free resource, I process your email address and name to send you what you asked for. I send it only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), using a double opt-in confirmation.

8. Turnover cost calculator

The turnover calculator on this site runs in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to me, stored or shared.

9. Social media links

This site links to my LinkedIn profile. Links are plain links. No data is passed to LinkedIn until you click. After you click, LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies.

10. Recipients and international transfers

I share your data only with the service providers named above, which act on my instructions, and where legally required.

12. How long I keep data

I keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as the law requires (for example, tax rules for business correspondence and invoices).

13. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), correction (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing before it.

14. No obligation to provide data

You are not required to give me personal data to browse this site. Some features, such as booking a call, need an email address to work.
